See more of my book reviews on my blog, Literary Flits I've enjoyed following Carole Matthews' entertaining Twitter and Facebook posts for probably a couple of years now, but had never actually gotten around to reading any of her novels So when I spotted a well-thumbed copy of It's A Kind Of Magic at a campsite book exchange late last year, I swapped for it/5.
The vibe one gets from the cover of THE BEST KIND OF MAGIC is that the contents within will be lighthearted and cutesy. The story delivers exactly that - an excellent example of a time a cover is perfect for the book.
Unfortunately, while lighthearted and fun, I do have a few complaints about THE BEST KIND OF MAGIC/5. After seeing the movie, I wanted to read more about the fabulous, enigmatic Freddie. This book is a great first look at the man - lots of pictures.
